Secondly, it has strong resistance to erosion. It has strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metals and molten glass.

Third, it has high compressive strength at room temperature (up to 340MPa).

(2)Classification of corundum bricks

These types of bricks on the market are usually classified by their aluminum content, including ultra-pure corundum bricks, 99% corundum bricks, 90% corundum bricks, corundum mullite bricks, etc. The numbers represent the percentage of alumina.

Meanwhile, the price of this type of refractory brick increases with aluminum content and bulk density; the higher the purity, the more expensive it may be. Of course, their performance will certainly be different.

Therefore, when purchasing, it is necessary to not only look at the unit price, but also calculate the cost per unit furnace life.
