An Indian cement plant wanted to replace the refractory bricks in its transition zone. The client reported damage to the bricks during operation, primarily surface cracking and spalling. This led to plant shutdowns, reduced output, increased refractory material costs, and accelerated equipment wear, significantly lowering overall production efficiency.

Large temperature fluctuations in the transition zone, intense alkali corrosion, and unstable kiln lining causing high-temperature burn-off.
Surface cracking and spalling of the refractory bricks, large-area spalling, and rapid thinning and loss due to high-temperature erosion.

Based on the operating conditions of the transition zone, our engineering team recommended a customized refractory material solution:
Anti-stripping alumina bricks with an alumina content of ≥70%. These bricks are resistant to rapid heating and cooling, perfectly solving the most significant thermal shock spalling damage in the upper transition zone.
The 70% alumina content is sufficient to meet the needs of the entire transition zone, ensuring normal service life while providing optimal cost-effectiveness.
After the factory adopted the solution, kiln downtime decreased significantly, refractory material costs dropped, and overall production efficiency improved markedly. The customer was very satisfied, noting that long-standing maintenance issues had finally been resolved. Ruitai Lianxin‘s technical solution brought stable and reliable operation to its production line.
