Coke ovens are core thermal equipment in industries such as iron and steel metallurgy, operating for extended periods in harsh environments with high temperatures and chemical corrosion. Refractory bricks, as a key material in coke oven construction, directly determine the service life and operational stability of the coke oven.
Key components of a coke oven, such as the combustion chamber and carbonization chamber, must withstand temperatures exceeding 1200℃ for extended periods, while also resisting chemical erosion from media such as coal gas and tar. Therefore, the requirements for the high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and structural stability of the masonry materials are extremely high.

Refractory bricks, with their excellent high-temperature mechanical properties, have become the preferred material for coke oven construction.
Compared to other kilns, coke oven refractory bricks place greater emphasis on dimensional stability and creep resistance at high temperatures.
High-quality refractory bricks effectively reduce damage and leakage problems in coke ovens during long-term operation, lowering maintenance frequency and costs. Inferior refractory bricks, on the other hand, can significantly shorten the service life of the coke oven and even affect production safety.
Refractory brick manufacturers, when producing refractory bricks specifically for coke ovens, precisely adjust material composition and production processes according to the varying operating conditions of different parts of the coke oven to ensure a precise match between product performance and operational requirements.
Silica bricks exhibit excellent dimensional stability at high temperatures and high thermal conductivity, effectively adapting to the thermal expansion characteristics of coke ovens. Coke oven carbonization chambers require long-term operation at temperatures above 1100℃ and must withstand frequent temperature fluctuations; therefore, silica bricks are commonly used.

Furthermore, clay bricks or high-alumina bricks are needed in combination in areas such as regenerators and flues. These bricks possess different load-bearing softening temperatures and corrosion resistance.
Only a reasonable combination can ensure the efficient operation of the entire kiln system.
Meanwhile, in the procurement process, refractory bricks of different materials and performance characteristics have varying prices. Refractory brick suppliers will provide reasonable quotations based on factors such as product specifications and order quantity. The purchaser must negotiate the refractory brick price with the supplier, ensuring product quality and considering their own budget.
